The Adult Day Center of Somerset County would like to warmly welcome three new members to our Board of Trustees: Cynthia Norfleet , Mike Stanford and Giuseppina Araujo.

Cynthia Norfleet (above left) is a partner with Van Cleef Engineering Associates. She joined the firm in 2003 after spending 12 years working for National Geographic in Washington DC. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia. Cynthia was recruited to the Board of Trustees after serving on the planning committee for the 2016 Generations Gala that honored her father Neil Van Cleef.  She agreed to join the Board because she is passionate about our mission of providing care for older adults so they can age in place.  She lives in Hillsborough with her husband Bruce and three children.

Mike Stanford worked for Bayer Healthcare in their Consumer Care Division from February 1994 – June 2016. Over his 22-year tenure he led several functions including sales, sales planning customer marketing and sales operations. Mike began his career at The Quaker Oats Company. He received his B.S. from the University of Delaware.  Before becoming a volunteer at the ADC, Mike was the caregiver for his beloved wife Marcia who attended the ADC as a member for two years in the latter stage of her battle with early onset Alzheimer’s disease.  He has joined the board to help give back and hopes to help us expand out outreach so individuals learn about the ADC before they need our services.  Mike lives in Branchburg with his two children.

Giuseppina Araujo is a marketing professional with 10+ years experience and a creative and energetic approach to management, marketing communications and public relations.   She specializes in strategic communications, multi-channel marketing programs, event planning, corporate communications, internal marketing communications, website content management and budgeting. Currently she is an Assistant Vice President: Brand Relations and Advocacy for Affinity Federal Credit Union in Basking Ridge. Prior to joining Affinity in 2011, she was a Marketing and Events Officer and Customer Service Representative for Investors Savings Bank for nine years.  Giuseppina graduated from New Jersey City University with a major in Business Administration and a focus in Marketing. She lives in Kearny with her husband and two children.  She joined the board of the ADC in honor of her grandmother who currently has Alzheimer’s disease.  She wants to bring awareness to the challenges of caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease and help to support and make a difference in the lives of our caregivers
