Adult Day Center of Somerset County’s
Seventh Annual Generations Gala
Honors Steve Kalafer
Bridgewater (Adult Day Center) March 1, 2017 - Bridgewater, NJ - The Adult Day Center, a non-profit organization committed to providing extraordinary day care services for the elderly and disabled residents of Somerset County, and support for caregiving families, has announced that Flemington Car & Truck Country Owner and Somerset Patriots Chairman Steve Kalafer will be honored at its Generations Gala on Thursday, June 8th at Trump National Golf Club.
The Generations Gala, which serves as one of the ADC’s most significant fundraiser of the year, honors the individuals who have made exceptional contributions to helping older and disabled adults, many of whom have an Alzheimer’s or dementia-related diagnosis, and their caregivers.
“I am deeply honored and humbled to accept this award,” said Kalafer. “Caring for our aging loved ones is critical but often overlooked. The Adult Day Center provides an essential service to the Somerset County community by providing compassionate care to our community’s older adults and caregivers. I am proud to support the mission of our neighbor.”
The event features fine dining, dancing, fundraising, and a celebration of the ADC’s 40th anniversary.
About the Gala, Diann Robinson, Executive Director, explains, “The ADC has been a home away from home for the frail elderly, disabled adults and individuals with dementia for 40 years. We strive to offer our center members a sense of purpose and belonging as well as education and support for their caregivers. We are excited to honor Mr. Kalafer at our 2017 Gala as we celebrate our Ruby Anniversary, and look forward to providing our services for the greater Somerset County area for another 40 years.”
“Many families and caregivers will benefit from Mr. Kalafer’s participation as an honoree for the ADC’s gala this year,” explains Board of Trustees Chair Dave Tucker of E. A. Boniakowski Insurance Services. “We are grateful for his participation. I would also like to thank Ken Scherer for his leadership of the Gala committee. He has built an impressive list of friends and colleagues who have pledged to put together a successful event.”
Sponsorships are now available and include Gala tickets and a Tribute page in the Commemorative Ad Journal. Tickets are available for $250 per person. Founded in 1977, ADC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
