Presenting our Caregiver Video

ADC's Caregiver Support Group
In support of the gala, each year Loren Fisher graciously films and edits a video presenting the stories of our ADC caregivers.  This year we presented the stories of Gina DiCosola and Renee McGinnis who are taking care of their mothers. In addition to learning about their care-giving journey, the video also include highlights of our 40th anniversary including interviews with Marie Hughes, our landlord at the People Care Center for 17 years; Ed Wright, our longest standing board member; Herb Hall, former Board President; and tributes from former caregivers. Please take a few moments and watch the video so you can see firsthand the difference the ADC is making in the lives of these Somerset County residents.

Unity Bank is the 2018 Sponsor for our Caregiver Support Group

Unity Bank recently awarded a grant to ADC. The funds are being used to underwrite the expenses of our Caregiver Support Group that meets the second Saturday of every month. "Unity Bank is dedicated to providing support to non-profit organizations that enrich the communities the bank serves," said Michael Novak, Senior Vice President, Unity Bank. "We are delighted to support the ADC's mission of supporting caregivers as they keep their family members at home."

Caregiver Café is open
The Caregiver Café is open on Friday's from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  Stop by and meet other caregivers who are facing the same challenges as you. The March dates are March 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd.

Our group has become a family of its own; welcoming in new members and welcoming back those whose loved one has passed on.

The support group offers a variety of information, guest speakers, and day care services for your loved one.

The morning begins at 9:00 with coffee/tea and a light breakfast.  It’s a nice relaxing time to catch up with each other and a great way for new members to acclimate themselves.

At 10:00 the support group and activities for members start.

At 12:00 we all gather to have an informal lunch.  There is a $10 suggested donation per person staying for lunch.

Although our center deals primarily with residents of Somerset County, we welcome out-of-county residents.
  • You will receive a reminder letter before each group
  • You must call to confirm your attendance

If you are interested or have any questions, please call and ask for either Stacy or Diann at 908-725-0068.
